It is deeply concerning that our own government is effectively facilitating the export of Northern Ireland’s trained nurses while importing replacements from overseas, all at the taxpayers’ expense. This is not sustainable, and it is not in the interests of our people.

I have seen this system up close. While working in Saudi Arabia as Business Development Director, I visited the UK trade stand at the Expo 2030 construction event. There I found the Invest NI team not one of them from Northern Ireland.

The Middle East representatives included an Indian lady who had lived her whole life in Dubai and a Lebanese gentleman heading up the Saudi operation.

When I asked what Northern Ireland produces best, the answer came without hesitation: “Nurses.”

And he was right. We train excellent nurses here, yet too many are leaving for higher pay and better conditions in the Middle East. Upon returning to Belfast in 2025, the change was unmistakable. Our hospitals are now staffed by large numbers of international recruits. The explanation given?

“Our own nurses have gone abroad.”

The numbers tell the full story of this dramatic shift:

Total HSCNI workforce (2025): Around 76,000 active posts filled by approximately 75,000 individuals. Belfast HSC Trust alone has 19,000–21,000 staff.

International recruitment was limited pre-2020: Around 500 overseas nurses (mainly 488 from the Philippines) across all HSC Trusts in 2016.

Sharp ramp-up from 2021: In Belfast HSC Trust alone, between April 2021 and March 2023, 1,700 graduate nurses were hired — of which 800 (47.1%) were international recruits.

Overall in the health sector: According to the 2021 Census, 11,838 health and social care workers in Northern Ireland were born outside Northern Ireland 19.6% of the total. With continued recruitment since then and no new census, this figure has almost certainly grown significantly.

This massive increase is made worse by UK family visa rules. When international nurses and healthcare workers come here under the Health and Care Worker visa, they are allowed to bring their partners and children. They relocate permanently, put down roots and add ongoing pressure to our schools, housing, GP surgeries, and public services.

Compare that to the Middle East: In Saudi Arabia or Dubai, nurses typically come on strict two-year contracts. They work, get one month home leave and then must return to their home country when the contract ends. They cannot easily bring families to relocate and settle permanently. It is a job, not a demographic shift.

The individuals coming to work in our HSC are often decent, hardworking people. Many appear on our TV screens, presented as caring for our mothers and fathers. That is not the issue. The issue is the deeper policy driving this. These nurses haven’t a clue why they’re really here they were picked up, processed through fast-track visas (including family dependants) and thrown into our hospitals. They are part of a much larger picture.

This all aligns exactly with the World Economic Forum’s Fourth Industrial Revolution agenda on diversity, inclusion, and global workforce mobility. The 4IR pushes a vision of fluid borders, reskilled and interchangeable labour forces, and demographic transformation under the banner of equity and economic efficiency. If the Fourth Industrial Revolution hadn’t been activated in this way, our own people would still be the ones nursing here in Northern Ireland and those arriving from overseas would still be serving in their home countries.

Over the past 22 and a half years, Northern Ireland has seen over 293,000 long-term international migrants arrive. Starting from a population of around 2 million, that represents roughly 15 percent brought in from outside. History shows that if you want to start a real movement in a country, you need about 15 percent of the majority to believe in it and that is exactly the scale of change we have experienced.

This is not a neutral labour market outcome. It is the result of government choices that follow global scripts. Our authorities and economic development bodies should not be promoting or facilitating the departure of critical public sector workers. Instead, they must prioritise keeping them here.

We need a clear policy shift: better pay, improved working conditions and targeted incentives to retain and repatriate our own nurses. We should be actively reaching out through family networks and community ties, encouraging those working on contracts in the Middle East, USA to come home to serve their own people in NHS Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland’s government must put our own citizens first. We can offer our people good opportunities and a decent life without undermining the sovereignty and sustainability of our public services. We should not be exporting our most valuable carers while importing dependency and extra strain on our limited resources.

It is time to end this revolving door. Look after our own first. Train, retain, and value the people of Northern Ireland. That is what a responsible government does. Our identity, our services and our future depend on it.

After watching Michelle O’Neill stand on the steps of Stormont and hearing leading voices like Naomi Long dismiss legitimate public concern as “fake news,” one has to ask: in what reality are these politicians living?

The people of Northern Ireland are not fools. We did not drift down the Lagan in a bubble. We have eyes to see, ears to hear, and the ability to do our own research.

The Globalist Agenda of Northern Ireland’s Left

We know the pattern: every major left-leaning party in Northern Ireland Sinn Féin, the SDLP, the Alliance Party, the Greens, and People Before Profit consistently aligns with the globalist agenda promoted by the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, and the circles around King Charles.

Their vision of a borderless, ever-more diverse society is not some neutral ideal; it is a deliberate project that prioritises ideology over the lived reality of working people.

No Surrender to the Managed Invasion

We will not surrender to this managed invasion. We will not accept politicians lying to our faces by pretending that rapid demographic change, pressures on housing, schools, and services, and the visible failures of integration have nothing to do with the violence and tensions we are now witnessing.

A fair, managed, and enforceable immigration system that is also compassionate is possible but it requires honesty, not deflection and smears about “far-right” agitators every time citizens raise their voices.

The Failed Experiment of Unquestioned Diversity

Diversity and multiculturalism as unquestioned goods have already strained the social fabric across the island of Ireland. What we are seeing is not enrichment but erosion of community cohesion, of trust, and of the right of native populations to maintain their own way of life. Northern Ireland represents one of the last places where people can still make a determined stand to halt this trajectory.

The Call to Unity: We Are Unstoppable

The time has come for the people of this province to set aside old divisions and recognise the common threat. When we stand together unionist, nationalist, and those who simply wish to preserve our society we are unstoppable.

The people of Stormont must open their eyes to what is happening on the streets and in the towns. The public will not be gas lit any longer. We demand honesty, control of our borders, and a politics that puts the interests of Northern Ireland’s own people first.

If we fail to act now, the window will close. If we unite, we can still save what remains.

Where is the £300 million of Queen's reserves, endowment, and pension capital being invested, and what proportion is invested in Northern Ireland versus elsewhere?

This remains a critical question for the people of Northern Ireland who value Ulster's communities and want institutions like Queen's University Belfast (QUB) to prioritize local needs. In May 2026, QUB handed management of over £300 million in reserves, endowment, and pension assets to Legal & General (L&G). The approach relies on passive, index-tracking investments with ESG overlays focused on net zero, sustainability and responsible principles meaning the bulk of this capital is diversified globally across international markets rather than concentrated in Northern Ireland.

At the same time, L&G maintains a direct stake in Belfast through Loft Lines, the prominent large residential block development right beside the Titanic Belfast Museum in Titanic Quarter. This £150 million Build-to-Rent scheme delivers 627 market-rate rental homes (part of a wider mixed-tenure project), shaping a significant portion of new housing supply in this iconic waterfront area.

Property Management at Loft Lines

Day-to-day operations for the Loft Lines rental homes fall under Neil Allen, appointed General Manager in early 2026. A Belfast native with experience in operations and customer service (including co-working spaces), he leads the on-site team, resident services, leasing, and local partnerships. While Watkin Jones developed the scheme and L&G provides the institutional ownership, the management principles align with L&G's broader UK Build-to-Rent standards, which emphasize professional, amenity-rich renting open to a wide tenant pool.

Prioritization for Northern Ireland nationals? There is no public evidence of policies that explicitly prioritize NI locals or Ulster residents for vacancies in the private BTR units. Allocation follows standard market processes, credit/affordability checks, and UK/NI equality legislation, which prohibits discrimination based on nationality or origin while promoting diversity and inclusion. This reflects L&G's diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) elements within its ESG framework policies that critics argue can side-line local preferences in favour of broader "inclusive" approaches, even amid housing shortages affecting long-standing Northern Ireland communities. Social/affordable portions (e.g., via Clanmil) use the NI Housing Executive points-based system, but market rentals do not appear to ring-fence units for locals first.

Many in Northern Ireland reasonably ask why external frameworks and managers should guide who gets access to these prominent new homes or how QUB's substantial funds are deployed when Ulster's own traditions, cohesion, and residents' needs should take precedence. Greater transparency on the £300m's NI allocation, stronger local-first principles in developments like the big block at Titanic Quarter, and policies attuned to the region's identity would better serve the communities that sustain these institutions. Residents have every right to demand accountability through local governance and public scrutiny.

I want to show you something that's been sitting in the back of my head for weeks now. Something I came across that I couldn't shake loose, and the more I pulled on the thread, the more it kept unravelling in directions I wasn't expecting. It starts with a map. A satellite image, to be exact. North Belfast. Newtownabbey. Mallusk, Mossley, Glengormley, Whiteabbey the kind of places you'd drive through on the way somewhere else without a second thought. Industrial estates. Housing developments. Roundabouts. The ordinary infrastructure of a post-conflict city getting on with itself.

But look closer. When you trace the road network the actual roads, mind you, not anything invented or digitally fabricated shapes start to emerge that have no business being there. A giant humanoid figure, stretched out across kilometres of North Belfast. A circular mark sitting right at the forehead. Something unmistakable at the back of the neck. And this is where it gets strange a hare. Clear as day, if you know where to look.

Pareidolia, or Something Else?

Now, I know what you're thinking. You're seeing things, mate. And look fair enough. The human brain is an extraordinary pattern-recognition machine. Psychologists call it pareidolia... But here's the thing: what's unusual about the Belfast figure is how specific it is. The outlines follow real roads. The proportions hold across kilometres. And the symbolism, when you start reading it through the lens of Celtic tradition, isn't random at all.

The Hare

Of all the elements in this landscape figure, the hare is the one that stops me cold. The hare is one of the oldest spiritual symbols in these islands... In Celtic mythology, the hare was a liminal creature: an animal of the in-between... Associated with the goddess Aine... If this figure is offering the hare, what's it offering it to?

The Mark on the Forehead

A circle on the forehead... In the Irish mystical tradition, the concept of imbas forosnai — the light of foresight...

The Neck. The Connection Point.

The mark at the back of the neck is subtler... Across esoteric anatomy... the junction between the skull and the spine is understood as a critical threshold... For a figure mapped onto a post-industrial, post-conflict corner of Northern Ireland, that feels less like coincidence and more like the land making a diagnosis.

Denver, Colorado and What It Has to Do with Newtownabbey

Here's where it gets properly strange. Leo Tanguma's massive murals inside Denver International Airport have been the subject of conspiracy discussion for thirty years partly because they're genuinely unsettling... Someone has overlaid one of these murals directly onto the satellite imagery of the Chimney Corner / Mallusk area of County Antrim. And it fits.

Not perfectly. Not in the way that would prove anything. But in the way that makes you put your phone down and stare at the ceiling for a minute. The central emotional female figure... aligns with the topographic contours of the land. The symbolic elements... find echoes in the road configurations below.

The Prophecy, the Pig, and the Feeding

When you really deep dive into the history of Ulster and Ireland the ancient cycles, the Black Pig's Dyke folklore (that ominous linear earthwork tied to prophecies of upheaval and slaughter in the "Valley of the Black Pig"), and older mystical traditions you come across some very interesting videos and threads. One describes Ulster as a kind of starting point for the "new world" a liminal zone where old and new orders clash, where energies converge.

It particularly showed a model of a lady lying with a man feeding into her neck life force, knowledge, or influence pouring in and then a pig shape at the back of her. The pig was described as feeding the "bad poison" (perhaps echoing those old prophecies of destruction or corrupted forces), while another current fed something good or transformative. The "second night of the troubles" kicking off exactly where that prophecy was said to begin feels eerily timed, especially now on this night of June 10, 2026.

Whether it's the Black Pig of folklore, symbolic poisoning of the land/body, or a visual metaphor for dual influences flowing through the neck of the giant figure, it rhymes powerfully with the Belfast landscape giant and the Denver mural overlay. The neck as vulnerability and gateway. The reclining lady. Forces of chaos and renewal.

What the Land Remembers

Ulster is one of the oldest continuously inhabited landscapes in Europe... There's a tradition in Irish thought older than Christianity... that the land is not passive. That it is a living body. That it holds memory...

The Belfast figure whatever its origin sits in that tradition. The hare. The circle on the forehead. The neck. The reclining figure stretching from Mallusk to Whiteabbey, toes in the direction of the lough. And now, layered with these prophetic echoes of feeding poisons, new worlds emerging from old conflicts.

So What Are We Looking At, Actually?

Three realistic possibilities... I'm not going to tell you which one I believe. That's not how this works.

The Land Is Not Done Talking. Belfast has been a place of extraordinary intensity for centuries... Maybe that instinct runs deeper than we think. Maybe the city and the prophecies woven into its soil has always been in the business of making symbolic shapes...

It's there. Go and look. Whether it means something is a question only you can answer for yourself. But the more interesting question the one worth carrying around, especially tonight is this: What does it mean that we keep looking? And what awakens when the old prophecies seem to echo in the present?

I was dandering down the Newtownards Road there in my black hoodie, walking with the rest of them, and all of a sudden I started questioning myself. What the hell was I doing? Never thought I’d feel like I was part of something like this movement. Everybody was moving. The further we got down the Upper Newtownards Road, near the arches, the more crowds were coming from every direction. We passed where Wyse Byse had just shut, gathered a bit more at the McDonald’s, then headed on down towards Dee Street. By the time we hit Dee Street there was already a big crowd round the Skainos Centre. But the main thing was going to be at Speaker’s Corner.

The crowds were getting bigger and bigger and in between it all it felt like the men and women were meeting each other like that bit in Braveheart where the Scottish and the Irish come together on the battlefield.

What it really was though, was just a load of people from the same area finally meeting up again. “Well Jimmy, what about you? What going on?” “Hi, what about your ma?” “Hi mate, how are you doing?” “Well Tommy, I haven’t seen you in ages.” You could hear it everywhere “I haven’t seen you in donkeys. How’s about you?” Folk shaking hands, having the craic, whole streets of neighbours standing about together.

Then when you looked round at the bottom of the Lower Newtownards Road, Templemore Avenue and the church, The speaker gets up on top of an electric box with a microphone and starts telling it how it is.

He says this is a pinnacle point in time that’s been forced on us. We’ve been talking about this for more than eight year’s and even longer than that. We all know we’re being targeted and replaced by an agenda that’s come from the World Economic Forum, the Epstein crowd, the royal family, the leaders of the EU, and even the leaders of our own country. all of them signed up to it.

The plan, he says, is to reduce the elderly through vaccine damage so they can free up loads of houses. One, to save money on the pensions they won’t have to pay anymore. Two, to make room for this planned influx of people and house them in among our own. HMO houses are already replacing the family homes the mothers’ houses of the children here, the men whose mothers died from turbo cancer caused by the COVID carry-on and the forced jabs and boosters.

Northern Ireland’s wise to it, he says. We know exactly what’s happening and we’ve been telling people for years. We’ve protested for years and nobody listened. But now the left-wing government’s losing power because the people can see what’s going on. The people here aren’t stupid. They’ve done their own research. They know the stuff they’re seeing on the internet is more real than what they’re getting from the news, the government or the mainstream media. That’s why everybody’s coming together. They know these HMOs are dangerous for the community and every single one of them needs to be got rid of from Belfast and right across Northern Ireland.

The attempted beheading that happened in West Belfast is not the only incident that's been happening on the streets of Northern Ireland and in Belfast and we know that. We know from our people there are over 200 asylum seekers in the Maze Prison in Northern Ireland because of sexual attacks and rape attacks. That's 200, and they've only been here four years.

We never had levels of crime and unsafety on our streets like this. Ever.

And we will not accept that fear in our streets. Our kids will walk freely to the park again.

The crowds clapped and cheered as the speaker stepped back into the crowd.

I can see both the Protestants and the Catholics are coming together now. They’re coming together because of the invasion that’s happening from the Islamic world and all the different cultures taking over the way we do things and what we believe. The people of Northern Ireland are asking to become sovereign because they’ve lost all faith in the royalty and the royal family and all the heinous crimes they’re tied up in. And the Vatican too, with all the reports of human trafficking that are coming out.

We must’ve come together long before this, knowing we’re better off sticking together. Plenty of people are talking about an independent Northern Ireland now and home rule in the streets, that’s what you’re hearing. And the people here will not accept these HMOs. Every single one, I believe, over the next couple of months will be removed from Belfast, one at a time. So it’d probably be better, from what I can see coming, for anyone living in those HMOs across Northern Ireland even if you’re here legally to get yourself sorted with somewhere else to stay.

This isn’t me fearmongering. It’s got nothing to do with me, honest to God. But from what I’ve heard, the people aren’t going to stop until every HMO is gone from Belfast and the other areas. And it will keep going. So in my opinion the Northern Ireland government needs to make an instant plan to move all the people out of the HMOs and the asylum seekers from the Belfast area. Because this is going to run right through the summer into October and November. The quicker they get them moved, the safer it’ll be for Northern Ireland to move forward in peace. But until that happens, you can see this violence is going to keep on.

After the last speaker was finished talking, I kind of walked about the crowd to have a good look round at who was all there. There was 80-year-olds with walking frames, and people with them elderly electrical pram vehicles or electric wheelchair things. There was young ones there too  lads and girls, all ages, male and female. It was a real mixed bag, a proper mix of people from the area all come together in the one place.

After about twenty minutes the rain come on heavy. I seen a few people starting to head away, so I decided I’d walk back up the Newtownards Road. On the way up I seen one bottle get lobbed at the glider bus. but when I went past it wasn’t on fire. I just kept going, got into the car and drove on home.

When I got in and checked the media on, that glider bus had been burned out completely, Belfast had kicked off.

Ordinary people became heroes as a brutal attack unfolded on a residential street.

Last night, the 8th of June, right here in north Belfast on Kinnaird Avenue near the Crumlin Road, a man was repeatedly slashed with a Stanley knife until three locals had to step in and stop it. A man left in serious condition. And just days before that, on the early hours of Friday 5 June, police responded to a serious altercation at Brookfield Mill flats on the Crumlin Road where two men were attacking each other with weapons, including a knife. One ended up with grievous bodily harm charges, the other with possessing a blade and common assault. Nasty, knife-enabled violence in a residential area. These incidents shake the sense of safety. This is what’s already happening on our streets. This is the warning.

This has been known in the streets of Belfast for the past year or two. In the gyms, people are now doing martial arts classes and training harder because they feel unsafe on the streets. Even in my own daughter’s network of friends, the ladies in Belfast won’t let their daughters walk from one house to the other in case of those people on the streets. At six o’clock the streets are empty. The kids are scared. “I’m not allowed out” because the parents are scared in case, in the rare chance, something happens to their child. Everybody’s talked about it to each other. Everybody knows everyone. So Northern Ireland speak up. Don’t be afraid to say what you think. Stand together the way you do in your own house with your family. You should do the same with your own nation as a family.

But let’s be clear about what we still have here. There are still good things going on in Northern Ireland. There are still decent, civilised people. There are still communities where you can walk the streets without constant fear. There are still families raising their kids with manners and respect. There are still police officers who are high-standard, fantastic men. Men I’ve known personally, who rented my house for ten years and paid on time without a word of bother, men who are part of our life circle and who want nothing more than to keep their own people safe. There is still a basic order and a basic decency that most of us grew up with. It’s not perfect the paramilitaries had their own way of keeping things in line, for better or worse but it was safe enough to walk the towns and the shops. That is what we still have. And that is exactly what is under threat.

I’ve seen what happens when that order collapses. I drove through Cape Town in South Africa and watched a naked man deliberately try to sway my car off the road so the gang waiting on the side could rob me or kill me if it toppled. You couldn’t leave a camera in the car because it would be stolen the second your back was turned. You couldn’t drive from one side of town to the other without that constant, heightened awareness. In many parts of Africa the hotels keep you inside the grounds with security because outside those walls you’re on your own. Stories of men scaling walls, raping families, killing the father these aren’t rare tales. They’re everyday reality in too many places. And the people of Northern Ireland need to wake up and understand that everywhere is not the same as Ulster. People are not the same all over the world. Pretending otherwise is how you lose everything.

We are not all the same. We do not all carry the same standards or the same respect for order. When you bring in large numbers from places where that baseline is completely different, you bring in the problems that come with it. The stabbings on our streets are the proof it’s already starting here.

So here’s what must change, and it must change now.

Nobody from any other country should be driving around our streets, pulling up to our doors, or delivering to our families unless they are a local national. Every taxi driver taking our people from place to place must be from Northern Ireland. Every delivery driver on our roads must be from Northern Ireland. Our streets belong to our own people first.

The same with security. No foreign security guards in our cafes, our Boots, our chemists, or our supermarkets. Those jobs are for nationals. Because when our children grow up seeing a foreign face standing guard in uniform, they start to think it’s normal. Then when they vote, they say an Indian in the real police is fine. It is not fine.

Look at what’s already happening. An Indian flew in from India with no proper visa, picked up a degree, and nearly got himself elected into government in Scotland. That is not sovereignty.

And on the illegals who are already here: every single one who entered this country illegally needs to be tagged wrist and ankle. Proper monitoring. They get a strict curfew. In by nine or ten at night, lights out and they stay where they’re told until nine the next morning. They stay tagged and controlled until the danger in their own country is over then they are sent straight back. Every last one.

Now to the police officers. I’ve got police officer friends in my own circle. Good men. Decent tenants. Civilised. They are not wanting to go through or stand in front of their own people for what’s been going on. And this is not about forcing you to take one side or the other. This is also your country. These are your daughters going down into Belfast for a drink. This is your daughter that the Somalian is talking to in the bar and touching her bum. And you, the policemen, know the figures. There are 200 immigrant men in the Maze right now on rape charges many of them who have come in since 2022. That’s fifty a year. One a week. We never had rape on that scale in Northern Ireland. It was safe to walk the towns. It was safe to walk the shops. That safety is what we still have left and it is worth protecting.

What we are facing is not accident. It is an invasion run by massive financial institutions that are buying up the houses our families built and then flooding our streets with these mental pawns to intimidate us and change who we are.

But this is Ulster. This is Belfast. East or West, it doesn’t matter. These streets are ours. We built them. We defended them. We still have good things worth fighting for. So stand up. Stand together. And take it back before there’s nothing left worth standing for.

We tried to tell you.

We tried to warn you.

We spoke up when it wasn't popular.
We were mocked.
We lost friendships.
We lost relationships.
We were called crazy, paranoid, selfish, and worse.

Yet we spoke anyway because we genuinely believed difficult times were coming and that people deserved to hear another perspective.

Many chose not to listen.

So when I call someone a "balloon," this is what I mean.

Once upon a time there were three balloons: Mummy Balloon, Daddy Balloon, and Baby Balloon.

Every night Baby Balloon would climb into his parents' bed and sleep between them.

One night Daddy Balloon said, "Son, you're getting too big for this now. You need to sleep in your own bed."

Baby Balloon agreed.

But later that night he crept back into their room and tried to squeeze in beside them. There wasn't enough room.

So he untied Daddy Balloon's knot and let a little air out.

Still not enough room.

Then he untied Mummy Balloon's knot and let a little air out of her.

Still not enough room.

Finally, he untied his own knot and let some air out of himself.

Now he fit perfectly and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning Daddy Balloon saw what had happened.

"Son," he said, "I'm not angry because you let me down.

I'm not angry because you let your mother down.

I'm angry because you let yourself down."

That's why when I call someone a balloon, I don't mean they're stupid.

I don't mean they're a bad person.

I mean they ignored their own instincts.
They surrendered their own judgment.
They gave away something valuable inside themselves.

And in the end, the greatest disappointment isn't that you let someone else down.

It's that you let yourself down.

A former gospel hall was destroyed by fire after plans emerged for it to be converted into an international food store. I want to be absolutely clear from the start: violence is not the answer. Burning buildings is not the answer. Attacking people is not the answer.

But pretending there are no underlying tensions isn't the answer either.

One thing worth remembering is that we still don’t know all of the facts surrounding this incident.

If the property was purchased commercially, it is reasonable to assume that various financial and insurance arrangements may have been in place, as they often are with commercial properties. The precise details are a matter for the owners, insurers and investigators.

What we do know is that a building has been destroyed, a community argument has become more heated, and people are once again being pushed into taking sides.

Some people will see the owner as the victim. Others will focus on the frustrations that exist within the local community. Most ordinary people are probably somewhere in the middle. They don’t support violence, but they also don’t want their concerns dismissed or ignored.

For me, the lesson is that nobody benefits when a debate about ownership, housing, community identity and sovereignty is reduced to a headline or a single incident. Those issues were here before the fire, and they will still be here long after the investigation is finished.

The real challenge is finding a peaceful way to discuss them honestly, without pretending they don’t exist and without allowing frustration to turn into conflict.

Many people across Northern Ireland feel that their communities are changing rapidly. They see housing pressures. They see rising rents. They see neighbourhoods changing. They see more and more ownership moving away from local people. Some welcome those changes. Others are deeply uncomfortable with them.

Whether people agree or disagree, those concerns are real, and they're not going away.

The choice facing Northern Ireland is simple. We can either continue shouting at each other, or we can have an honest conversation about sovereignty, ownership, housing, community identity and who ultimately benefits from the development of this country.

For me, that conversation begins with sovereignty.

Northern Ireland is a small place.

We've got roughly two million people.

We're not China.

We're not India.

We're not America.

We're not one of these giant countries with hundreds of millions or billions of people and enormous pools of capital behind them.

People sometimes forget just how wealthy some countries and global business networks have become. India today is one of the largest economies in the world. It has enormous manufacturing capacity, a huge IT sector, global business networks and significant pools of capital operating across the world.

That's not a criticism.

Fair play to them.

They've built it.

But here's a question worth asking.

If countries and communities spend generations building wealth, should they not primarily use that wealth to strengthen their own towns, cities, infrastructure and communities?

Because I don't see many ordinary families from East Belfast, Ballymena, Derry, Newtownards or Armagh heading off to foreign countries and buying up housing developments, farmland and strategic assets.

Most countries have rules.

Some require 51% local partners.

Some restrict foreign ownership of land.

Some favour local ownership of strategic industries.

Whether you agree with those rules or not, they are exercising what they see as sovereignty.

Northern Ireland is also far smaller and more connected than many people realise.

We've got around two million people, but we're really a network of families whose roots run deep through this place. Grandparents live in one house. Sons and daughters live in another. Cousins live around the corner. Families know families. Communities know communities.

In a previous article, I described this as roughly one hundred thousand interconnected family networks. Whether the exact figure is ninety thousand, one hundred thousand or one hundred and twenty thousand isn't really the point.

The point is that Northern Ireland isn't a giant anonymous society.

It's a relatively small community whose roots run through every town, village and neighbourhood in the country.

When people talk about housing and ownership, they're not talking about numbers on a spreadsheet.

They're talking about whether the next generation can afford to stay where they grew up.

Years ago, in 1996, when I moved from Cardiff to London, I lived in a house in Harrow-on-the-Hill with a lovely couple called Barry and Siobhan from Cork. Barry was an electrician. They rented out a room to a young Indian student.

One evening I suggested we go into a shop and get something for dinner. He told me he only spent his money in Indian-owned businesses.

Whether that reflected his own views, his family's views or something he had grown up with, I don't know. But the conversation stayed with me.

He explained that people looked after their own networks. They helped each other. They supported each other's businesses. They rented from each other. They built wealth within their own community.

And do you know something?

There's actually a lesson in that.

Because somewhere along the road many of us forgot how to think like that.

We've become fragmented.
Financialised.
Everything is debt.
Everything is a mortgage.

Everything is somebody else's investment opportunity.

Meanwhile many young people here can't even afford to leave their parents' homes.

Since 2020 we've seen major demographic changes. We've seen an ageing population. We've seen deaths. We've seen people moving into care. We've seen an access homes becoming available.

The question that should be asked is simple.

Who benefits from those opportunities?

Are local young families getting the first chance to buy, renovate and put down roots?

Or are they increasingly competing against larger pools of capital and external demand?

That's a debate worth having.

Because for me, sovereignty starts with ownership.

The issue is not whether somebody comes here to work.

If somebody wants to come here, work hard, rent a house, contribute to society and build a better future for themselves, good luck to them. People from Northern Ireland have travelled the world doing exactly that.

But there's a difference between working in a country and owning a country.

A country should be allowed to decide who owns its strategic assets. Who owns its housing stock. Who owns its farmland. Who owns its infrastructure.

If somebody comes here and rents a house from a local family, that rent helps pay off a local mortgage. That wealth stays within the local economy. That family gets stronger. Their children get stronger. Their community gets stronger.

There's nothing wrong with that.

The goal isn't isolation.

The goal isn't hostility.

The goal is making sure that the people who live here, who built this place and who will pass it on to the next generation aren't pushed aside in their own home.

But there is another side to this story that receives far less attention.

When most people hear discussions about housing pressure, they immediately think about immigration.

I'm more interested in ownership.

Because one of the biggest changes taking place in Belfast today isn't who is moving into the city.

It's who is buying the city.

Over recent years, major investment funds, pension-backed institutions, property developers and build-to-rent operators have been acquiring increasing amounts of residential property in Belfast.

This is where the story becomes bigger than a property development.

Legal & General is not simply a pension company. It is one of the largest asset managers in Britain, responsible for managing close to £1.2 trillion in assets.

The company has publicly championed ESG policies, climate initiatives, diversity targets and shareholder activism for years. This isn't a secret. It's published in its own reports. Through its voting policies, shareholder resolutions and engagement programmes, it has pushed companies around the world on issues ranging from board diversity to climate commitments and workforce policies.

Again, whether you agree with those positions or disagree with them is not the point.

The point is that these are not neutral institutions. They have clearly stated views about how companies and society should operate.

At the same time, Legal & General has become a major player in Belfast's residential property market through large-scale build-to-rent developments. It has also been appointed to manage assets connected to Queen's University Belfast's reserves, endowment and pension arrangements.

So it is reasonable to ask a simple question.

Should institutions headquartered outside Northern Ireland, with their own corporate philosophies, investment priorities and governance agendas, play such a significant role in shaping the future ownership of housing and the management of major local assets?

Some people will say yes.

Others will say no.

But surely the people of Northern Ireland should at least be allowed to have that conversation openly.

Unlike a local family buying a home to live in, these organisations often purchase housing as a long-term investment asset.

That changes the relationship between people and property.

A home becomes an asset class.

A community becomes a revenue stream.

And ownership gradually moves further away from the people who actually live there.

Sometimes I think we're asking the wrong question altogether.

Everybody is arguing about who lives in the apartments.

I'm more interested in who owns the money that built them.

Every month, ordinary people across Northern Ireland pay into pension schemes. Teachers. Nurses. Electricians. Engineers. Builders. Civil servants. Thousands of people putting away money for their retirement.

That money doesn't sit in a bank account.

It gets invested.

The question is: invested by who, and for whose benefit?

Because if billions of pounds of pension money originating from ordinary working people can be used to build apartment blocks, buy land, purchase infrastructure and shape the future of cities, then surely it's reasonable to ask whether more of that investment should be controlled closer to home.

Why shouldn't Northern Ireland have its own major investment trust?

Why shouldn't local pension capital help build local housing?

Why shouldn't local savings help finance local infrastructure?

Why shouldn't the returns generated from Northern Ireland's assets stay in Northern Ireland?

At the moment, much of the decision-making sits far away from the communities affected by those decisions.

The people paying into the system often have little say over where the money goes, what gets built, what gets prioritised or what vision of the future is being funded.

For me, that's a sovereignty issue.

Because sovereignty isn't just about flags and constitutions.

It's about capital.

It's about who controls the savings of a people.

It's about who decides where those savings are invested.

And it's about whether the wealth created by one generation is being used to strengthen the next generation in the place they call home.

Maybe the real question isn't who owns Belfast today.

Maybe the bigger question is why the people of Northern Ireland don't own more of it themselves.

Countries change rules all the time.

Tax rules change.

Investment rules change.

Ownership rules change.

That's part of self-government.

The real question is not whether Northern Ireland should engage with the world.

Of course it should.

The real question is whether we engage with the world from a position of ownership and confidence, or from a position where everything around us gradually becomes somebody else's asset.

For me, that's the conversation Northern Ireland needs to have.

Not through anger.

Not through violence.

But through open debate, peaceful self-government, and a serious discussion about sovereignty, ownership, housing, capital and the future of our communities.

Because if we want stability, confidence and genuine peace in the years ahead, people need to feel that they still have a stake in the place they call home.

That's the conversation I believe we should be having.

When I talk about sovereignty, I'm not talking about changing a flag or moving powers from one parliament to another.

I'm talking about generational stewardship.

I'm talking about people whose families have inherited this place, built this place and intend to pass it on to the next generation.

In my view, the institutions of a sovereign Northern Ireland should be rooted in those long-standing family connections to the country.

My own preference would be that the people entrusted with the highest responsibilities in government, policing, national security and the stewardship of major national assets should have deep family roots here, extending beyond a single generation.

Why?

Because sovereignty, as I see it, is not merely about residence. It is about inheritance, responsibility and continuity.

It is about ensuring that the people making decisions about the future of Northern Ireland have a direct stake in what that future looks like fifty or a hundred years from now.

Some people will disagree with that standard. Others will support it.

But the principle behind it is simple: those entrusted with protecting and guiding the country should have a long-term connection to the country itself and a commitment to passing it on stronger than they received it.

I am writing to you because I believe you are leading one of the most important corrections of Islam in modern times, and because the people of the United Kingdom especially the people of Ulster in Northern Ireland need to hear and understand this story.

أكتب إليكم لأنني أعتقد أنكم تقودون أحد أهم التصحيحات في الإسلام في العصر الحديث، ولأن شعب المملكة المتحدة — وخاصة شعب أولستر في أيرلندا الشمالية — بحاجة إلى سماع وفهم هذه القصة.

After spending more than eighteen months living and working deeply within Saudi Arabia's high-level business and professional networks in support of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, I have gained profound respect for the wisdom and balance your leadership has brought. I have learned directly from my Saudi peers about the remarkable progress being made and the clear contrast with many challenges currently facing Europe. This experience has given me a unique perspective on how a nation can modernise while protecting its identity and sovereignty.

Recent events in Northern Ireland have highlighted growing public concern about identity, immigration, integration and social cohesion. These concerns are often misunderstood as opposition to Islam itself. In reality, many people are seeking reassurance that their traditions, values and local identity will continue to be respected.

لقد أبرزت الأحداث الأخيرة في أيرلندا الشمالية قلقاً عاماً متزايداً بشأن الهوية والهجرة والاندماج والتماسك الاجتماعي. غالباً ما يُساء فهم هذه المخاوف على أنها معارضة للإسلام نفسه. في الواقع، يسعى كثير من الناس إلى الطمأنينة بأن تقاليدهم وقيمهم وهويتهم المحلية ستظل محترمة.

It has been observed that some imagery in recent murals has incorporated symbols associated with Saudi Arabia. This risks creating a misleading impression that the Kingdom under your leadership is the source of the problem. In fact, the deeper challenges often stem from other countries in the Middle East whose flags feature a prominent red stripe widely understood as symbolising allegiance to older imperial structures rather than the sovereign, reformist path Saudi Arabia is championing through Vision 2030.

لقد لوحظ أن بعض الصور في الجداريات الأخيرة قد تضمنت رموزاً مرتبطة بالمملكة العربية السعودية. وهذا يخاطر بخلق انطباع مضلل بأن المملكة تحت قيادتكم هي مصدر المشكلة. في الواقع، غالباً ما تنبع التحديات الأعمق من دول أخرى في الشرق الأوسط تحمل أعلامها شريطاً أحمر بارزاً — يُفهم على نطاق واسع على أنه يرمز إلى الولاء للهياكل الإمبراطورية القديمة بدلاً من المسار السيادي الإصلاحي الذي تتبناه المملكة العربية السعودية من خلال رؤية 2030.

The real problem in the United Kingdom is not Islam itself. The deeper problem is sovereignty. The same loss of confidence in national sovereignty that created serious challenges inside Saudi Arabia for decades including the influence of the Muslim Brotherhood and the strict Sahwa movement has also affected Britain and Europe in different ways. In Ulster, unresolved questions of identity, control, faith, immigration, and sovereignty have kept our people in cycles of conflict, mistrust, and political instability for generations.

المشكلة الحقيقية في المملكة المتحدة ليست الإسلام نفسه. المشكلة الأعمق هي السيادة. إن نفس فقدان الثقة في السيادة الوطنية الذي خلق تحديات خطيرة داخل المملكة العربية السعودية لعقود — بما في ذلك تأثير جماعة الإخوان المسلمين والحركة الصحوية المتشددة — قد أثر أيضاً على بريطانيا وأوروبا بطرق مختلفة. في أولستر، أبقت الأسئلة غير المحلولة حول الهوية والسيطرة والإيمان والهجرة والسيادة شعبنا في دورات من الصراع وعدم الثقة وعدم الاستقرار السياسي لأجيال.

Your Royal Highness, you have already seen this problem clearly and have acted with courage at the heart of the Islamic world. You are returning Saudi Arabia to a more moderate, confident, and open path. You have supported reforms that allow women greater freedom, reduced the power of extremist religious control, opened the Kingdom to the world, and shown that Islam does not need to be ruled by fear, forced dress, or social intimidation.

يا صاحب السمو الملكي، لقد رأيتم هذه المشكلة بوضوح بالفعل وتصرفتم بشجاعة في قلب العالم الإسلامي. أنتم تعيدون المملكة العربية السعودية إلى مسار أكثر اعتدالاً وثقة وانفتاحاً. لقد دعمتم إصلاحات تمنح المرأة حرية أكبر، وقلصتم قوة السيطرة الدينية المتطرفة، وفتحتم المملكة على العالم، وأظهرتم أن الإسلام لا يحتاج إلى أن يحكمه الخوف أو اللباس المفروض أو الترهيب الاجتماعي.

The noble Subaie (آل السبيعي) lineage has stood faithfully alongside the Al Saud rulers through the establishment and development of the Saudi state, and continues to represent loyalty, continuity, and service to the Kingdom to this day. Such loyalty shows the strength of a nation that understands its own roots, honours its own people, and protects its sovereignty across generations.

لقد وقف نسل السبيعي (آل السبيعي) النبيل بإخلاص إلى جانب حكام آل سعود من خلال تأسيس وتطوير الدولة السعودية، ويستمر في تمثيل الولاء والاستمرارية والخدمة للمملكة حتى يومنا هذا. مثل هذا الولاء يظهر قوة أمة تفهم جذورها الخاصة، وتكرم شعبها، وتحمي سيادتها عبر الأجيال.

This is something we in Ulster can respect deeply. We understand the dignity of a people who wish to remain sovereign while still welcoming others who come in good faith to work, contribute, educate, share wisdom, and support their families whether those families are here, abroad, or in their home country.

هذا شيء يمكننا في أولستر أن نحترمه بعمق. نحن نفهم كرامة شعب يرغب في البقاء سيداً بينما لا يزال يرحب بالآخرين الذين يأتون بحسن نية للعمل والمساهمة والتعليم ومشاركة الحكمة ودعم أسرهم — سواء كانت تلك الأسر هنا أو في الخارج أو في بلدهم الأصلي.

Saudi Arabia has shown that a nation can welcome international workers, visitors, investors and people of faith while still protecting its laws, culture, traditions and national identity. Entry and residence are managed through clear systems. Support for citizens remains protected. The host nation remains in control of its own destiny. This is not hostility to foreigners. It is responsible sovereignty.

لقد أظهرت المملكة العربية السعودية أن الأمة يمكنها الترحيب بالعمال الدوليين والزوار والمستثمرين وأهل الإيمان مع حماية قوانينها وثقافتها وتقاليدها وهويتها الوطنية. يتم إدارة الدخول والإقامة من خلال أنظمة واضحة. يظل دعم المواطنين محمياً. تبقى الدولة المضيفة مسيطرة على مصيرها. هذا ليس عداءً ل الأجانب. إنه سيادة مسؤولة.

Workers from other countries, including Bahrain, must handle their official documents such as passports through their home country's embassy. They return to their embassy to obtain or renew documents for their country of origin. This ensures that foreign workers remain citizens of their home nations and do not acquire automatic rights to settlement or citizenship in the host country. It is a practical demonstration of responsible sovereignty that protects the national character while allowing beneficial international contribution.

يجب على العمال من الدول الأخرى، بما في ذلك البحرين، التعامل مع وثائقهم الرسمية مثل جوازات السفر من خلال سفارة بلدهم الأصلي. يعودون إلى سفارتهم للحصول على الوثائق أو تجديدها لبلدهم الأصلي. وهذا يضمن بقاء العمال الأجانب مواطنين لبلدانهم الأصلية وعدم اكتساب حقوق تلقائية للاستقرار أو الجنسية في البلد المضيف. إنه دليل عملي على السيادة المسؤولة التي تحمي الطابع الوطني بينما تسمح بالمساهمة الدولية المفيدة.

Since 2020, Northern Ireland has seen a noticeable increase in the formal registration and establishment of Islamic and Muslim community organisations across several towns and cities. After years of relatively limited development outside the main established centres, multiple new Islamic or Muslim community organisations have appeared in places such as Dungannon, Newry, Newtownards, Belfast, Ballymena, Armagh, and other areas.

منذ عام 2020، شهدت أيرلندا الشمالية زيادة ملحوظة في التسجيل الرسمي وإنشاء المنظمات الإسلامية والمجتمعية المسلمة عبر العديد من المدن والبلدات. بعد سنوات من التطور المحدود نسبياً خارج المراكز الرئيسية القائمة، ظهرت العديد من المنظمات الإسلامية أو المجتمعية المسلمة الجديدة في أماكن مثل دونغانون ونيوري ونيوتاوناردز وبلفاست وباليمينا وأرماغ ومناطق أخرى.

The concern is not peaceful Muslim families. The concern is that major cultural and demographic change appears to be taking place without meaningful consultation with the people of Northern Ireland. The sovereign people of Ulster have not been asked whether they consent to this scale and speed of change. In a land with our history, that is dangerous. When people feel ignored, silenced, or dismissed, resentment grows. Our purpose is not to create conflict. Our purpose is to prevent it.

القلق ليس من العائلات المسلمة المسالمة. القلق هو أن تغييراً ثقافياً وديموغرافياً كبيراً يبدو أنه يحدث دون استشارة ذات معنى مع شعب أيرلندا الشمالية. لم يُسأل الشعب السيادي في أولستر عما إذا كان يوافق على هذا الحجم والسرعة من التغيير. في أرض لها تاريخنا، هذا خطير. عندما يشعر الناس بأنهم مهملون أو مكممون أو مرفوضون، ينمو الاستياء. هدفنا ليس خلق الصراع. هدفنا هو منعه.

Voices in Britain are now beginning to speak about these problems the burqa and niqab, Sharia courts, parallel societies, uncontrolled migration, and the loss of national confidence. These concerns are real. But the deeper and more lasting solution is not hatred of Islam. The solution is sovereignty, order, moderation, and respect for the host nation.

بدأت أصوات في بريطانيا الآن تتحدث عن هذه المشاكل — البرقع والنقاب والمحاكم الشرعية والمجتمعات الموازية والهجرة غير المنضبطة وفقدان الثقة الوطنية. هذه المخاوف حقيقية. لكن الحل الأعمق والأكثر ديمومة ليس كراهية الإسلام. الحل هو السيادة والنظام والاعتدال واحترام الدولة المضيفة.

This is why I respectfully ask Your Royal Highness to share, through diplomatic, cultural, or public channels, the wisdom Saudi Arabia has learned in protecting sovereignty while reforming from within. Britain needs to understand that a nation can welcome people of faith, including Muslims, without surrendering its identity, its laws, or its future.

لهذا السبب أطلب بكل احترام من صاحب السمو الملكي مشاركة الحكمة التي تعلمتها المملكة العربية السعودية في حماية السيادة أثناء الإصلاح من الداخل، من خلال القنوات الدبلوماسية أو الثقافية أو العامة. تحتاج بريطانيا إلى فهم أن الأمة يمكنها الترحيب بأهل الإيمان، بمن فيهم المسلمون، دون التخلي عن هويتها أو قوانينها أو مستقبلها.

The private sector in Northern Ireland is ready to play a constructive role. We would be honoured to organise a trade delegation from Ulster to visit Saudi Arabia in the latter part of 2026 to discuss how businesses in Northern Ireland can contribute to the successful implementation of Vision 2030. This would represent a practical step toward mutual benefit, shared prosperity, and strengthened ties based on respect for sovereignty and shared values.

The people of Ulster do not seek war. They seek peace. But peace cannot be built by ignoring the concerns of the host community. Peace requires truth, order, respect and consent. If Ulster is pushed too far without being heard, old wounds can reopen. That is why this matter must be handled with wisdom before anger becomes division.

لا يسعى شعب أولستر إلى الحرب. إنهم يسعون إلى السلام. لكن السلام لا يمكن بناؤه بتجاهل مخاوف المجتمع المضيف. يتطلب السلام الحقيقة والنظام والاحترام والموافقة. إذا تم دفع أولستر إلى أبعد من اللازم دون أن يُسمع صوتها، فقد تنفتح الجراح القديمة. ولهذا يجب التعامل مع هذا الأمر بحكمة قبل أن يتحول الغضب إلى انقسام.

Your Royal Highness, Saudi Arabia has shown the world that reform is possible without surrender. It has shown that faith and sovereignty can stand together. It has shown that a nation can modernise while remaining itself.

يا صاحب السمو الملكي، لقد أظهرت المملكة العربية السعودية للعالم أن الإصلاح ممكن دون استسلام. لقد أظهرت أن الإيمان والسيادة يمكن أن يقفا معاً. لقد أظهرت أن الأمة يمكنها التحديث مع البقاء على طبيعتها.

We respectfully ask for guidance, example and friendship in helping Britain and especially Ulster rediscover that same balance: openness without weakness, welcome without surrender, peace without loss of sovereignty.

Northern Ireland has never lacked resources. We have approximately 2.5 million acres of farmland, generations of agricultural expertise, strong engineering and manufacturing skills, and communities known for their resilience and strong sense of identity.

Yet today many rural areas face growing pressure. Traditional farming margins are tightening. Young people often leave their communities in search of opportunity. At the same time, housing demand continues to rise sharply, with Northern Ireland requiring approximately 6,600 new homes each year, including around 2,200 social homes. Many families and young people are looking for more affordable, nature-connected, and community-focused ways of living.

At first glance these challenges appear separate: 

- Housing is treated as a housing problem. 

- Agriculture as an agricultural problem. 

- Manufacturing as an industrial problem. 

- Rural decline as a social problem.

This proposal asks a different question:

What if they are actually connected?

Early modelling suggests a remarkable opportunity. Supplying hemp-derived wall materials and insulation for Northern Ireland’s annual housing requirement would use **less than half of one percent** of our existing farmland — less than one acre in every two hundred.

The challenge is not land availability. The real challenge is building the right infrastructure and systems to unlock far greater value from the land we already have.

One acre of industrial hemp does not simply produce a single crop. It creates multiple industrial streams.

The woody inner core (shiv/hurd) can be turned into hempcrete, construction panels, insulation, acoustic products, and animal bedding. The outer fibre can produce rope, textiles, composite materials, paper, and industrial inputs. Residual streams can support biomass products, soil enhancers, and carbon-based applications.

One crop enters the system. Many industries emerge from it.

To capture this value, the proposal centres on the creation of a **Northern Ireland Hemp Cooperative Industrial Network** — a connected system of regional processing hubs working in partnership with local farmers.

Initial concept modelling indicates that three medium-sized regional processing hubs, beginning in areas such as Strabane and expanding across Northern Ireland, could be established with approximately **£15 million** in infrastructure investment.

While £15 million is a significant sum, many conventional infrastructure projects spend far more while delivering much narrower economic impact. The difference here is multiplication.

Each processing hub would generate direct employment in processing, logistics, engineering, and maintenance. More importantly, it would stimulate a wide range of secondary businesses: construction firms using local materials, textile and composite manufacturers, insulation producers, transport operators, research and training organisations, and new apprenticeships.

Mature regional hubs could each support dozens of direct jobs and potentially hundreds of indirect jobs across the wider supply chain.

The environmental benefits are equally compelling. Locally produced hemp construction materials would reduce reliance on imported products and lower transport emissions. Industrial hemp is also an effective carbon sink — absorbing significant CO₂ during growth and storing it long-term in buildings.

This proposal does not ignore the practical challenges. Industrial hemp still requires licensing, processing infrastructure needs capital and technical expertise, and hemp-based construction systems require continued engagement with building standards, insurers, and developers. Supply chains are still developing.

These are not reasons to walk away. They are reasons to move forward carefully and strategically.

That is why the plan begins with smaller regional hubs and mobile processing systems — designed to prove the agricultural and economic model before scaling. The next phase will focus on collaboration with farmers, agricultural organisations, housing associations, development agencies, Invest NI, and private investment partners.

The goal is not simply to grow a new crop. 

The goal is not simply to build more houses.

The goal is to create a regenerative economic ecosystem in which agriculture, manufacturing, housing, employment, and community development reinforce one another — keeping value circulating locally rather than leaking out.

Northern Ireland already possesses the land, the skills, and the people. 

The question is no longer whether we have the resources. 

The question is whether we are ready to use a small fraction of our existing land to build an entirely new economic future.

Most people think of Northern Ireland as 1.93 million individuals or roughly 770,000 households. That’s what the official numbers say. But those numbers miss the actual structure of the place.

If you look at it through the lens of real, lived family networks — the ones that actually hold people together across generations — the figure comes down much further. And when you factor in how families link through marriage, it may be closer to 100,000 core networks that form the true hub of Ulster life.

That’s not a statistic you’ll find in any government report. It’s a way of seeing the country that comes from watching how people actually live.

The real unit isn’t the household

Northern Ireland has around 769,000 households. On paper that sounds like a lot of separate units. But most of those households are connected. A grandfather’s house, his son’s house, and his grandchildren’s houses often sit within a few streets or the same townland. When you average that out, you get something in the region of 190,000 to 260,000 extended family clusters.

Then marriage enters the picture. When two people marry, two family lines become connected. The new couple doesn’t just start a fresh, isolated unit — they link two existing networks. That overlapping reality pulls the number of truly distinct core hubs down significantly. A reasonable estimate, once you account for those connections, lands around 100,000 functioning family and kinship networks across the whole of Northern Ireland.

One hundred thousand.

That is the scale of the actual social fabric. Not two million separate people. Not three-quarters of a million front doors. But roughly 100,000 overlapping webs of grandparents, parents, adult children, in-laws, aunts, uncles and cousins who still know each other, still look out for each other, and still operate by a shared set of unwritten rules.

This is the core hub of Ulster.

The wave that still happens — and the one that doesn’t

You see it in the small daily things.

When someone lets you out at a junction in East Belfast or on the roads around Sydenham, you raise your hand. The people who grew up inside these networks still do it. And when it’s someone else from the same networks, they raise theirs back. It’s automatic. You let a person out, they acknowledge it. You pass on the road, the gesture comes back. My grandfather taught me that on a Ferguson tractor in Glenavy when I was a boy. Everybody from here still does it.

But I’ve noticed the change on the same roads now. New nationalities have appeared in numbers across East Belfast. When you let them out, or when you give way in the old way, a lot of them just drive straight on. No raised hand. No nod. No recognition of the courtesy. It’s not every single driver, but it’s common enough that you feel the difference.

Among the people who still belong to the old networks, the courtesy holds. Between those networks and many of the newer arrivals, it doesn’t. That small break in reciprocation is how the texture of a place starts to change.

The same pattern shows up in other small things: the way people move through a queue, the way they treat shared space, the way conversations used to open with “Do you know such and such?” because almost everyone could place each other through family or street or school. Those habits were never written down. They were the natural output of living inside a small number of dense, long-standing networks.

We are smaller and closer than we think

One hundred thousand networks for a population of 1.93 million is an extraordinarily tight structure. It means most people are still only a few steps removed from people they’ve known all their lives. It means informal support, social control, job leads, childcare, and eldercare still flow through these webs far more than through official systems. It means the elderly who have lived in the same streets for decades could once place almost anyone they met.

That closeness is both a strength and a vulnerability. It creates the low-friction daily life that outsiders sometimes notice when they come here. It also means the place has limited capacity to absorb large numbers of people who were raised inside completely different sets of expectations without those expectations starting to clash.

The choices being made outside Northern Ireland — on the scale and speed of immigration, on who arrives and how they are expected to fit — are decisions that land directly on these 100,000 networks. They don’t land on abstract “diversity” or on GDP models. They land on the actual webs of people who still wave when someone lets them out, who still know each other’s aunties, and who still expect the same small courtesies to be returned.

When those signals stop being returned at scale, the networks don’t suddenly expand to include everyone. They start to contract. People stop bothering with gestures that used to be automatic. The elderly notice the blank faces first. The daily texture of the place shifts.

This is the real size of the society we’re changing

Northern Ireland is not a big, anonymous country that can absorb rapid demographic churn the way larger, more mobile societies sometimes claim to. It is a small collection of family and community networks — perhaps as few as 100,000 core hubs — that have grown up together over generations in a very particular set of places.

Most people outside don’t see it at that scale. They see population totals and household counts and policy targets. They don’t see the grandfather on the tractor, the raised hand at the junction, or the conversation that still begins with “I know your people.”

But that is the actual size of the society being altered. And once those networks fragment — once the automatic reciprocities that held them together stop working — there is no simple policy lever that puts them back together again.

We are smaller and closer than the official numbers suggest. The choices being made about our wee world are going to decide whether that closeness survives or whether it gets permanently broken.

Introduction: Stories from the Frontlines of Border Realities

Immigration isn’t abstract policy—it’s deeply personal and often painful. When I arrived in Dubai without working for a company but surviving as a independent kite surfing instructor, I had to take my one-year-old daughter on a brutal five-hour round trip to Hatta every 30 days just to exit and re-enter the country. We paid around £60 to get out and £60 to get back in — £120 total plus fuel — and the whole journey took about six hours. I had no family visa, so this was the only way. It was exhausting and heartbreaking. The funny thing is, because she held an Irish passport, I could bring her back in. But if she had a Filipino visa, I wouldn’t have been allowed to. Standard workers in Dubai — many Filipinos earning just 3,500 to 5,000 dirham a month — simply cannot bring their families. The rules are strict, and for me, they caused real stress and forced me to change my life.

These experiences teach a clear lesson: nations that manage their borders with discipline protect their stability and identity; those that don’t invite strain and resentment. Yet the hypocrisy hits hard. My daughter’s mother, Anna, my ex-wife, has been given a 10-year travel ban into Northern Ireland by the British government. We’re still fighting it. My daughter hasn’t seen her mother in four years. They let everybody else into the country, but not her. This week I went to the DUP office asking for help, and they said they were sorry — I’d have to go through London and the same system as everyone else. No special support.

Here in Ulster (Northern Ireland), we face growing pressures. The people already here deserve fairness, but we must examine why and how inflows happen. We cannot live in fear of immigration intimidation. Uncontrolled or mismanaged flows risk cultural erosion, housing shortages, and loss of sovereignty. It’s time to build a system that works for us.

The Problem: Strain, Misconceptions, and Unsustainable Models

Northern Ireland still has relatively low immigration—around 6% of the population born outside the UK and Ireland according to the 2021 census, with modest net international migration. Yet public concern is rising over housing shortages, strained public services, wage pressures, and social cohesion.

Cultural and Integration Challenges

Not every immigrant presents the same profile. Painting all non-Western arrivals with one brush is a mistake—Africa, Asia, and the Middle East contain vast diversity in values, education, and behaviour. Within Muslim communities, differences matter profoundly: some nations and individuals integrate successfully into modern, civilized societies that emphasize rule of law and contribution; others reflect stricter ideological programming, such as influences from the Muslim Brotherhood (founded 1928 in Egypt), which seeks gradual societal Islamization under Sharia principles. Ulster communities noticing rapid neighbourhood changes or emerging parallel societies are not bigoted for raising concerns—they simply want to preserve local identity.

Compounding these tensions is the role of certain advocacy groups that appear to amplify division. Organizations like Stand Up to Racism receive support from networks that critics link to funders or enablers of Muslim Brotherhood-linked entities. This creates chaos: backing expansive open-border activism alongside ideological movements pits communities against each other, suppresses honest debate on integration, and advances agendas that prioritize demographic transformation over stability.

Many of these dynamics intersect with strong pro-Palestinian activism in Northern Ireland. Key trade unions and campaign groups publicly supporting Palestinian causes include the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (NIC-ICTU), Unite the Union, Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance (NIPSA), UNISON NI branches, Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO), Trade Union Friends of Palestine, Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC), Belfast Palestine Solidarity Campaign, and broader involvement from groups like Amnesty International, Christian Aid, and Trócaire. These often appear alongside parties such as Sinn Féin, People Before Profit, and the Green Party.

Just imagine if all of that money that’s been funded to change your perspective on another country—so that you allow that country to come and live in your country and take over your country—was actually put into the real problem of Northern Ireland, which is trauma: releasing trauma, healing divisions, and getting to be at peace and happy within this God’s country.

Critics argue that many of these groups are funded in ways that dictate their priorities from the top down. They must follow the protocol set by their funders—whether through grants, donations, or union subscriptions. They don’t independently decide to go pro-Palestine; they are directed to protest because “it’s awful what’s going on.” On the other side, the same networks are accused of creating the conditions they protest against while funding street actions.

This mirrors the infiltration patterns seen with the Brotherhood of Islam, whose origins trace back to influences from the Nazi side of the German war—ideological roots involving admiration for certain authoritarian structures, contacts with figures like Haj Amin al-Husseini, and translations of Mein Kampf. The result is manufactured division that serves higher agendas rather than genuine local interests.

This same system has been used on Northern Ireland for as long as I’ve been alive.

And at what point do we realize that?

Are we going to have the conversation?

The news have been persuading us that Ian Paisley says this, and we’re arguing over that, and Gerry says that, and we argue over that. And they want to intimidate us and make us angry. And if we’re not angry enough, maybe MI6 will go in and shoot somebody or create a bomb, or even lately. You have to ask yourself a serious question whenever a new IRA member is getting somebody, an immigrant or a van driver, to drive a fire device towards a police station. Recent incidents include a New IRA car bomb attack on a police station in Dunmurry near Belfast in April 2026, with reports of proxy-style tactics using civilians or vehicles. You would think that the new IRA would be more concerned about the corruption of its own EU government, the manipulation of its country, the destruction of every town in the whole of Ireland, and have more concerns over its own government rather than trying to manipulate the police in Northern Ireland. And if he was going to send an incendiary device anywhere, do you not think he should send it to the Sinn Féin office, who have completely sold us out to an EU and completely destroyed the essence of what it stood for? If that’s not a soulless party and a soulless movement and a manipulation. That neo-IRA, the only way to look at it is that fear tactic that’s been used on us has been used again by the same top-down structure that controls all the NGOs, the media, the news, the government, that have been suppressing you, us, all of us, for two thousand five hundred and twenty years since the fall of the first Jerusalem.

Economic Distortions and Local Displacement

Programs promoting Ulster nurses abroad while importing replacement labour displace locals and drive up property prices through rapid population growth. Globalist-influenced groups push “diversity” as endless expansion—more people, more taxes, more activity. This old model ignores real limits on housing, infrastructure, and social trust.

The labour market mismatch is glaring. I hear stories of friends in their 40s taking tough delivery jobs for takeaway restaurants or similar just to support their families and earn extra income. Yet we’re told that young people aged 16-20 won’t get on a bike and work for Deliveroo. That strikes me as very strange.

I remember starting young. I worked at Cameron Landscape Gardening Centre from age 13, served in the Barclay Restaurant at Shaws Bridge on Milltown Road at 14, and ran a nightclub there at 15. When I was 15, there was a nightclub attached called Cocacabana. The place was dead on Friday nights — just two people, the DJ, and staff standing around. I’d been going to the Crescent Bar in Belfast and other spots where you paid in and got cheap drinks (beers and shots for a pound). So I suggested to the owners that I run the night.

We created a birthday party for myself and my best friend Chrissy Craig. We invited everyone in the area and from school, and it was packed as we have a big network. Everyone knows everyone in Belfast so the bar did really well. The manager Jerry and assistant manager Kevin agreed to let me run it every fortnight. We printed flyers, charged £2 entry, and offered cheap drinks so people could come for under a tenner. It was successful for two to three months — we pulled in 100-150 people some nights. The owners were making good money from the door and bar.

Then management changed the model: they made drinks off-license prices but hiked the door fee to £5 (with a £5 voucher). I warned them it would kill it. People could drink at home and still come in for a couple. The next event went from 300 people down to 10 or 20. It collapsed.

On top of that, a team of bouncers who worked multiple clubs demanded a cut. When I refused, one came in with a pellet gun. He intimidated me all night — constantly showing me the gun, asking how much money I was going to give “the boys” tonight. Then, around half ten or eleven when the queues had died down, he put the gun to the side of my neck and shot a pellet into it. He said it would be a real bullet if I didn’t hand over 50%. One night with takings around £250-300, I had to give him £100 just to get out safely. After that, I walked away with almost nothing. That experience at 15 years old destroyed my interest in the nightclub industry. I wish I hadn’t tried it so young. Things push you into opportunities and push you out again.

For nearly 36 years since — including 3 years in England, 1 year in Australia, 5 years in Vietnam, 3 years in Tanzania, 8 years in the UAE, and one and a half years in Saudi Arabia, along with many long stays in other African, Southeast Asian, and European countries — I’ve worked hard whenever I could hold a hammer or contribute. The claim that our own people won’t leave their bedrooms to earn money points to a serious societal problem — one that needs addressing through culture, education, and expectations, not by importing labour as a default solution.

Regulatory double standards make it worse. Why are councils so quick to grant trade licenses to recent arrivals? People who entered the country in 2022 from India are now selling sausages right outside Belfast City Hall. A local with proper experience would struggle with health and safety certificates, registrations, and bureaucracy. This suggests councils are being corrupted or pressured by top-down “diversity” mandates. We’re losing control of our own nation.

Meanwhile, Invest NI actively promotes Northern Ireland abroad as a prime destination for foreign investment, skilled talent, and fast-track opportunities. This creates contradiction while our own talent is exported.

I’m completely open to people visiting and working temporarily — as I have done abroad. That’s how you gain knowledge and bring wisdom back to strengthen your own country. But the current system enables different patterns.

The “Beast” of Unchecked Systems

Globalist incentives—via organizations that prioritize demographic mixing over national priorities—clash with local realities. The result is policy intimidation rather than genuine security. Borders feel porous while communities bear hidden costs. We must reject both nativist isolation and naive open-border idealism.

The Solution: Contract-Based, Merit-Driven Immigration Like Dubai/UAE

The UAE, particularly through frameworks developed in places like the DIFC, offers a practical model shaped in part by British expertise. Once we take back full control of Ulster as a sovereign nation and restore our own government, we can immediately change the laws to match these proven UAE rules and enforce them.

Core Principles:

Strict Contract Ties and Immediate Enforcement: Residency will be strictly linked to specific skilled jobs or investments. Upon regaining control, we will require all current residents to comply with the new framework. Those who do not qualify for long-term entitlement under the updated rules will need to transition out and return to their country of origin in an orderly manner. Don’t be afraid — if people have been settling and treating Ulster as a permanent home without proper entitlement, their status will be reviewed and they will be required to depart once we reclaim full sovereignty. I cannot go to their country and automatically become a permanent citizen with full rights, and the same principle must apply here.

Sovereignty First & No Birth right Citizenship: True sovereignty means residency visas come with clear rules—you come, you contribute for the agreed time, and you leave. Non-nationals will not be allowed in government, police, or the army. We must also protect generational sovereignty: both parents and their parents must be from Ulster to hold key positions of trust. This ensures loyalty to Ulster values.

In the UAE, if I have a baby, I must go to the Irish or British embassy to register the birth and apply for an Irish or British passport. The passport clearly states the child is Irish, born in Dubai. I can use the birth certificate temporarily, but I cannot claim UAE nationality for the child. No free services or state schooling. If unaffordable, the child must return to the parents’ country. We must plant these same honest rules in Ulster. A child’s nationality follows parental DNA and lineage, not birthplace paperwork. This is the Age of Aquarius — we cannot lie about reality.

Skills and Contribution First: Prioritize high-value talent that fills genuine gaps. End low-skilled inflows that compete directly with locals or displace young Ulster workers.

No Automatic Rights or Settlement: Clear entry and exit expectations. Overstays or violations lead to swift removal with escalating penalties: first offence brings fine and ban; second adds higher fine, police record and longer ban; third results in jail time and lifetime ban.

Fairness for Those Already Here: Support full integration for those who qualify under the new strict rules, while transitioning others out. Focus first on building opportunities for Ulster talent at home.

Enforcement: Robust border controls, visa audits, and transparent public data.

This isn’t about shutting the world out. It’s about controlled, beneficial exchange that respects sovereignty.

Broader Vision: Beyond “More, More, More” – Toward the Age of Aquarius

The old paradigm of endless hierarchical expansion and consumption is dying. The Age of Aquarius calls for innovation, community intelligence, humanitarian technology, and collective responsibility within natural limits—not unchecked demographic growth.

Ulster can lead by choosing quality over quantity: sustainable economies, cultural confidence, and human flourishing. This approach welcomes true contributors while protecting the distinct fabric that makes us who we are. Don’t let the media manipulate your brain into thinking you can’t stand up for your own nation. Stand up and tell them no. No surrender.

Call to Action

To policymakers, community leaders, and citizens of Northern Ireland: Study the UAE model closely. Audit current immigration impacts with honest data. Prioritize sovereignty, local work ethic, and fair regulation. Examine the networks shaping these debates. Public conversation must stay grounded in real experiences.

Immigration done right strengthens a nation. Done wrong, it divides and displaces. Ulster has the history, resilience, and wit to choose control and sustainability. The border is not just a line on a map—it is the guardrail for our future.

Our ancestry traces back to populations that have lived on this island for around four thousand years.

Sixty percent of my genetic makeup still reflects the ancient profile that took root here during the Bronze Age. While other groups arrived and mixed in over the centuries — adding Central European, Scandinavian, and smaller traces — the core signature remains strong. This is not a story of recent arrival. It is the story of a lineage that has endured on this land for millennia.

The Bell Beaker Foundations

Around 2500–1800 BCE, the Bell Beaker people spread across Western Europe. They were skilled seafarers, metalworkers, and warriors who carried R1b haplogroups, including branches that became prominent in Ireland. Our paternal line, R-Z18090, appears to descend from Bronze Age populations that expanded across Atlantic Europe during this period. These movements helped lay the genetic and cultural foundations of what would later become Gaelic Ireland.

From these roots grew the warrior and seafaring traditions that would define much of our history.

Into the Iron Age and the Old Stories

By the Iron Age, our ancestors were already well established here. This is the period when traditional stories speak of connections across the ancient world, including accounts of figures such as Jeremiah arriving in Ireland. These narratives are best understood as cultural memory rather than proven historical events, but they reflect the real networks of movement and exchange that existed at the time. Clans and tribal structures were forming that would eventually evolve into the Gaelic families we know today.

The Rise of the Clans

Over the following centuries, these roots deepened into the Gaelic world. We developed our own legal system — the Brehon Laws — along with our poetry, kinship systems, and clans. One of those clans was Clan Donnachaidh, also known as the Robertsons and Duncans.

Our surname McConkey comes from Mac Donnchaidh — “son of Duncan.” Other historical forms include Robertson, Duncan, Donnachie, MacConachie, MacDonachie, MacConchie, and Donaghy. All trace back to the same chiefly line.

Clan Donnachaidh stood with King Robert the Bruce at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314, fighting for Scotland’s independence. According to clan tradition, they may have arrived at a decisive moment from Gillies Hill, helping turn the battle in Bruce’s favour.

Centuries of Pressure

From the 1500s onward, with the collapse of the old Gaelic order, outside powers moved to suppress native institutions. By the 1700s the Brehon legal system had been dismantled. For generations, the direct connection between our people and their ancient story was weakened.

Yet the thread endured.

Rediscovering the Story

Today, DNA testing allows us to reconnect with that deep ancestry. It shows us that much of our genetic makeup still reflects populations that have lived on these islands for thousands of years. Each of us carries a story in our DNA. When we research it, we can find our clans and reconnect with the families we belong to.

This is why clan reunions matter. When people sharing the same ancestral names and DNA come together — Robertsons, Duncans, McConkeys, Donnachies and all the other branches — they are meeting family. They are standing in the same continuous thread.

We are the descendants of farmers, sailors, craftsmen, poets, warriors, and families whose roots reach deep into the soil of these islands.

Through Bronze Age migrations, Celtic kingdoms, Viking raids, Norman invasions, plantations, industrial revolutions, and modern upheavals, the thread endured.

DNA has not given us a new identity.

It has simply helped us rediscover an old one.

We are not remembering because we wish to escape the future.

We are remembering so that we can build it.

The story is not ending.

It is continuing through us.

Northern Ireland stands at a crossroads. Tension is rising in the streets, in conversations, and across social media. New cultural changes are arriving faster than many communities can absorb. Trust in institutions is collapsing, and confidence in leadership is weak. People in Belfast, Ballymena, Larne, Newtownards, and right across Ulster are asking the same simple questions:

Who is speaking for us?

Who is actually listening?

What future is being planned for our children?

Instead of honest answers, the public conversation is dominated by distractions. While murals have gone up in Belfast declaring that Islam has arrived — and local pastors who warned about these rapid changes are being vindicated — the mainstream headlines focus on Peter Mandelson, Keir Starmer, and Iran. None of it connects to the daily realities of Ulster.

Locally, the conversation is reduced to trivia. Stephen Nolan discusses stolen pallets and whether people should go to jail for them. Meanwhile, stories emerge of a UUP member being pushed out of his own party through backroom manipulation — the same kind of institutional manoeuvring that has shaped Northern Ireland for generations.

This manipulation has weighed on Ulster for my entire life — fifty years — and for my grandfather Jim Porter’s life before me, and for Jim McConkey’s generation too. It stretches back further, for centuries. The deeper force at work is what many call the Beast — not a race, not a religion, not a single group of people, but the system of institutions, bureaucracies, interests, and power structures that prioritises its own survival over the wellbeing of ordinary people.

The Beast thrives on division. It benefits when neighbour is set against neighbour, when communities are kept fighting over flags, identities, and labels while real problems fester. It funded historical shifts like King Billy’s campaign to reshape the spiritual and cultural landscape here, moving people away from older traditions into the Protestant framework. The very word “Protestant” means those who protest against corrupt or overreaching authority. That spirit is needed again today.

We have every right to protest against what has happened over the past seven years — the economic pressures, the cultural upheaval, the revelations about how our society is truly governed. Our own government institutions have grown sick. When even elements within the DUP end up in court over serious failings, it reveals how deeply the rot has spread. If you look around at an increasingly insane world and feel like you’re the one going mental for noticing it, then the system itself has lost touch with reality.

The answer is not hatred.

The answer is not violence.

The answer is not turning on one another.

The answer begins with awareness. Before we can change what is happening outside, we must examine ourselves inside. We must decide what values we stand for and what kind of society we want to leave for our children. We must move from being passive spectators to active citizens.

I cannot fix Scotland.

I cannot fix the Republic of Ireland.

I cannot fix England.

But I can speak to Belfast. And to the people of Ulster I say this:

Wise up.

Stand up.

Take responsibility for your streets, your communities, your children, and your future.

When I arrived in Dubai without working for a company, I had to take my one-year-old daughter on a brutal five-hour round trip to Hatta every 30 days just to exit and re-enter the country. We paid around £60 to get out and £60 to get back in — £120 total plus fuel — and the whole journey took about six hours. I had no family visa, so this was the only way. It was exhausting and heartbreaking. The funny thing is, because she held an Irish passport, I could bring her back in. But if she had a Filipino visa, I wouldn’t have been allowed to. Standard workers in Dubai — many Filipinos earning just 3,500 to 5,000 dirham a month — simply cannot bring their families. The rules are strict, and for me, they caused real stress and forced me to change my life.

These experiences teach a clear lesson: nations that manage their borders with discipline protect their stability and identity; those that don’t invite strain and resentment. Yet the hypocrisy hits hard. My daughter’s mother, Anna, my ex-wife, has been given a 10-year travel ban into Northern Ireland by the British government. We’re still fighting it. My daughter hasn’t seen her mother in four years. They let everybody else into the country, but not her. This week I went to the DUP office asking for help, and they said they were sorry — I’d have to go through London and the same system as everyone else. No special support.

Here in Ulster (Northern Ireland), we face growing pressures. The people already here deserve fairness, but we must examine why and how inflows happen. We cannot live in fear of immigration intimidation. Uncontrolled or mismanaged flows risk cultural erosion, housing shortages, and loss of sovereignty. It’s time to build a system that works for us.

The Problem: Strain, Misconceptions, and Unsustainable Models

Northern Ireland still has relatively low immigration—around 6% of the population born outside the UK and Ireland according to the 2021 census, with modest net international migration. Yet public concern is rising over housing shortages, strained public services, wage pressures, and social cohesion.

Cultural and Integration Challenges

Not every immigrant presents the same profile. Painting all non-Western arrivals with one brush is a mistake—Africa, Asia, and the Middle East contain vast diversity in values, education, and behavior. Within Muslim communities, differences matter profoundly: some nations and individuals integrate successfully into modern, civilized societies that emphasize rule of law and contribution; others reflect stricter ideological programming, such as influences from the Muslim Brotherhood (founded 1928 in Egypt), which seeks gradual societal Islamization under Sharia principles. Ulster communities noticing rapid neighborhood changes or emerging parallel societies are not bigoted for raising concerns—they simply want to preserve local identity.

Compounding these tensions is the role of certain advocacy groups that appear to amplify division. Organizations like Stand Up to Racism receive support from networks that critics link to funders or enablers of Muslim Brotherhood-linked entities. This creates chaos: backing expansive open-border activism alongside ideological movements pits communities against each other, suppresses honest debate on integration, and advances agendas that prioritize demographic transformation over stability.

Many of these dynamics intersect with strong pro-Palestinian activism in Northern Ireland. Key trade unions and campaign groups publicly supporting Palestinian causes include the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (NIC-ICTU), Unite the Union, Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance (NIPSA), UNISON NI branches, Irish National Teachers’ Organisation (INTO), Trade Union Friends of Palestine, Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC), Belfast Palestine Solidarity Campaign, and broader involvement from groups like Amnesty International, Christian Aid, and Trócaire. These often appear alongside parties such as Sinn Féin, People Before Profit, and the Green Party.

Just imagine if all of that money that’s been funded to change your perspective on another country—so that you allow that country to come and live in your country and take over your country—was actually put into the real problem of Northern Ireland, which is trauma: releasing trauma, healing divisions, and getting to be at peace and happy within this God’s country.

Critics argue that many of these groups are funded in ways that dictate their priorities from the top down. They must follow the protocol set by their funders—whether through grants, donations, or union subscriptions. They don’t independently decide to go pro-Palestine; they are directed to protest because “it’s awful what’s going on.” On the other side, the same networks are accused of creating the conditions they protest against while funding street actions.

This mirrors the infiltration patterns seen with the Brotherhood of Islam, whose origins trace back to influences from the Nazi side of the German war—ideological roots involving admiration for certain authoritarian structures, contacts with figures like Haj Amin al-Husseini, and translations of Mein Kampf. The result is manufactured division that serves higher agendas rather than genuine local interests.

This same system has been used on Northern Ireland for as long as I’ve been alive. At what point do we realize that and have the honest conversation? The news has been persuading us to argue over Ian Paisley saying this and Gerry saying that, keeping us angry and divided. They want to intimidate us. If we’re not angry enough, maybe MI6 will go in and shoot somebody or plant a bomb. Lately, you have to ask serious questions when a new IRA member gets an immigrant or a van driver to deliver a fire device towards a police station in Derry. Go online and check similar incidents. You would think the new IRA would be more concerned about the corruption of EU-aligned government, the manipulation of our country, and the destruction of towns across Ireland. Why not direct that energy at their own government instead of manipulating police in Northern Ireland? If they were going to send an incendiary device anywhere, shouldn’t it be to the Sinn Féin offices — the soulless party that has sold us out to the EU and destroyed the essence of what it once stood for?

The neo-IRA is just another fear tactic deployed by the same top-down structure that controls the NGOs, the media, the news, and the government — the same forces that have been suppressing us, all of us, for two thousand five hundred and twenty years since the fall of the first Jerusalem.

Economic Distortions and Local Displacement

Programs promoting Ulster nurses abroad while importing replacement labor displace locals and drive up property prices through rapid population growth. Globalist-influenced groups push “diversity” as endless expansion—more people, more taxes, more activity. This old model ignores real limits on housing, infrastructure, and social trust.

The labor market mismatch is glaring. I hear stories of friends in their 40s taking tough delivery jobs for Deliveroo or similar just to support their families and earn extra income. Yet we’re told that young people aged 16-20 won’t get on a bike and do the same work. That strikes me as very strange. I remember starting young: working at Cameron Landscape Gardening Centre from age 13 or 14, serving in the Barclay Restaurant at 14, running a nightclub at 15, and laboring on building sites at weekends. For nearly 36 years, I’ve worked hard whenever I could hold a hammer or contribute. The claim that our own people won’t leave their bedrooms to earn money points to a serious societal problem—one that needs addressing through culture, education, and expectations, not by importing labor as a default solution.

Regulatory double standards make it worse. Why are councils so quick to grant trade licenses to recent arrivals? People who entered the country in 2022 from India are now selling sausages right outside Belfast City Hall. A local with proper experience would struggle with health and safety certificates, registrations, and bureaucracy. This suggests councils are being corrupted or pressured by top-down “diversity” mandates. We’re losing control of our own nation.

I’m completely open to people visiting and working temporarily—as I have done in Cambodia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam. That’s how you gain knowledge and bring wisdom back to strengthen your own country. But the current system enables different patterns. For example, some Indian communities operate strong internal economic circulation: they earn money in the wider economy but primarily spend, rent, and invest within their own shops and networks. This concentrates benefits rather than spreading them. Other groups function differently. These distinctions matter for fairness and integration.

Meanwhile, traditional Ulster communities—especially Protestant ones—feel increasingly fragmented. Brotherhood and solidarity have been weakened. One man can’t easily meet another because family doctrines or restrictions limit outings with kids. Social connection shrinks to brief windows like Saturday golf, where religion, politics, and real feelings are off-limits. High taxes drain resources—a pint now costs £7 after tax—leaving less for community life. Those same taxes often fund shops and amenities for newcomers: African shops, halal outlets on the Newtownards Road, right across from traditional Belfast bars. It makes you wonder whose nation this is becoming.

The “Beast” of Unchecked Systems

Globalist incentives—via organizations that prioritize demographic mixing over national priorities—clash with local realities. The result is policy intimidation rather than genuine security. Borders feel porous while communities bear hidden costs. We must reject both nativist isolation and naive open-border idealism.

The Solution: Contract-Based, Merit-Driven Immigration Like Dubai/UAE

The UAE, particularly through frameworks developed in places like the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre), offers a practical model shaped in part by British expertise. Once we take back full control of Ulster as a sovereign nation and restore our own government, we can immediately change the laws to match these proven UAE rules.

Core Principles:

Strict Contract Ties and Immediate Enforcement: Residency will be strictly linked to specific skilled jobs or investments. Upon regaining control, we can kick everybody out straight away who is not meant to be here under the new system. Nobody that’s here without proper long-term entitlement will stay. Don’t be afraid—if people are settling and treating it as their home, everything will be removed from them and they’ll be out of the country as soon as we take back control. I cannot go to their country and become a permanent citizen with full rights, and the same must apply here.

Sovereignty First: True sovereignty means residency visas come with clear rules—you come, you contribute for the agreed time, and you leave. Non-nationals will not be allowed in government, police, or the army. That is what sovereignty looks like. We must also protect generational sovereignty: both parents and their parents must be from Ulster to hold key positions of trust. This ensures loyalty to Ulster values. We can’t know if someone is being influenced by a French mother or an Italian mother who has manipulated them into hating the Irish, for example. This is how it’s done in every other country.

Skills and Contribution First: Prioritize high-value talent that fills genuine gaps (tech, advanced healthcare, engineering, innovation). End low-skilled inflows that compete directly with locals or displace young Ulster workers.

No Automatic Rights or Settlement: Clear entry and exit expectations. Overstays or violations lead to swift removal. Visitors and workers follow host rules without creating parallel systems.

Fairness for Those Already Here: Support full integration for those who qualify under the new strict rules, while transitioning others out. Focus first on building opportunities for Ulster talent at home instead of exporting nurses while importing replacements.

Enforcement: Robust border controls, visa audits, and transparent public data on net economic and social impacts.

This isn’t about shutting the world out. It’s about controlled, beneficial exchange that respects sovereignty.

Broader Vision: Beyond “More, More, More” – Toward the Age of Aquarius

The old paradigm of endless hierarchical expansion and consumption is dying. The Age of Aquarius calls for innovation, community intelligence, humanitarian technology, and collective responsibility within natural limits—not unchecked demographic growth.

Ulster can lead by choosing quality over quantity: sustainable economies, cultural confidence, and human flourishing. This approach welcomes true contributors while protecting the distinct fabric that makes us who we are. It rejects both fear-driven isolation and globalist dilution. Don’t let the media manipulate your brain into thinking you can’t stand up for your own nation. Stand up and tell them no. No surrender.

Call to Action

To policymakers, community leaders, and citizens of Northern Ireland: Study the UAE model closely. Audit current immigration impacts with honest data. Prioritize sovereignty, local work ethic, and fair regulation. Examine the networks of unions, NGOs, and campaign groups shaping these debates—including questions around funding sources and top-down direction. Public conversation must stay grounded in real experiences—like the ones shared here—rather than slogans.

Immigration done right strengthens a nation. Done wrong, it divides and displaces. Ulster has the history, resilience, and wit to choose control and sustainability. The border is not just a line on a map—it is the guardrail for our future.

From UK shell companies to Dubai’s off-plan towers — my lived experience watching the great wealth extraction. It’s time for a Saudi-style reckoning to repay the nation and step into the Age of Aquarius.

For years I’ve watched it up close. Not from spreadsheets in Westminster or lectures in think tanks, but from the ground — seeing how money moves, how it disappears, and how it reappears transformed in glittering towers far from Britain’s shores.

Britain is riddled with shell companies. These aren’t always legitimate trading entities. Too often they function as financial pipelines: moving funds between entities, leveraging debt, extracting value, and ultimately shifting wealth out of the country into offshore safe havens — particularly in the Caribbean — before resurfacing in places like Dubai.

How the Loop Works — And How It Bleeds Britain (and Europe) Dry

This isn’t just an offshore story. The rot starts at home with everyday infrastructure and public projects. But the real engine room sits in Dubai.

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) was deliberately modelled on the City of London’s framework, complete with English common law courts and regulatory standards designed to feel familiar to Western capital. It serves as a central world business hub connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe — arguably the height of modern imperial financial architecture. During my time working in Dubai real estate, it was made very clear: Dubai was being positioned as the new neutral global node.

For over a decade, the talk was all about Expo 2020. “Buy property, buy property, buy property,” was the constant refrain. Sales teams worked from detailed spreadsheets and call lists targeting owners of offshore companies — many in the Cayman Islands and similar jurisdictions. The job was straightforward: build relationships with high-net-worth investors, become their trusted partner for off-plan deals, and channel their capital into Dubai towers.

This wasn’t just UK money. Call centres and agents actively sucked liquidity out of the whole of Europe. German, Spanish, Italian, French — investors from across the continent were courted aggressively. The pitch was simple and effective: low entry (often 10%), strong capital appreciation, and a safe, tax-friendly hub.

Then came 2020. High-profile contacts in places like Marbella told me they were selling villas in Spain, Switzerland, and France. Pension funds, insurance companies, and banks were shifting operations toward Dubai for the “new system.” Property prices in Dubai rocketed in the years that followed as waves of wealth relocated. What had been marketed for a decade finally materialised: Dubai became the preferred central hub where the new world leadership and capital felt comfortable gathering.

It is no accident that Dubai welcomes people from 200 countries living and working together under one efficient, business-first system. Those who have chosen this model aren’t necessarily trying to destroy the UK — they appear to want to reshape it in Dubai’s image: low tax, high control, globally connected.

Meanwhile, back home, the extraction continues through public projects. Look at the contrast with Burkina Faso. Under army general and President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the country has rejected the old model of foreign contractors and endless subcontractors. Instead of awarding overpriced tenders that get milked at every layer, they’ve bought their own heavy equipment, trained local teams, and are building roads themselves — including a major 332 km expressway between Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso. They aim for 5,000 km of quality roads per year, fully funded domestically with no foreign loans or middlemen skimming profits.

Compare that discipline to Britain.

The PPE scandal saw taxpayers lose billions, with failed contracts directly costing at least £1.4 billion and broader write-offs on unusable equipment reaching £15 billion in some estimates.

HS2 was originally estimated in the £30–37 billion range. Latest figures put the total potential cost as high as £100 billion or more, with massive delays pushing completion into the late 2030s.

In Northern Ireland, we couldn’t secure proper funding for a GAA stadium at Casement Park or a £450 million regeneration of the Sirocco Works site in central Belfast. Yet a controversial high-rise tower development beside the Titanic Museum was approved — widely criticised as a grotesque eyesore that ruins the historic skyline and heritage views.

This is the pattern: Huge public funds go to the main contractor. They take their 10% cut and sublet. The next layer takes another 10%, and so on. By the time it reaches the people on the ground, quality is compromised to protect margins. The skimmed percentages flow through shell companies and the networks of “grey suits” — lawyers, solicitors, planners, consultants — and frequently end up in overseas investments via the very pipelines described above.

The productive economy hollows out. The people who actually generate value carry the burden.

The Human Cost at Home

While this capital flight and recycling happens, British communities — and especially here in Northern Ireland/Ulster — face crumbling infrastructure, strained public services, and a deep sense that the country’s wealth is being systematically siphoned. The productive economy hollows out. The people who actually generate value — workers, small businesses, taxpayers — carry an ever heavier load.

This is the point: the current direction under Labour feels like a deliberate squeeze. Tax everything, overtax everything, until businesses can barely breathe. How does a simple coffee cost £7? It’s just hot water and beans. The answer is business rates, VAT, energy costs, employment taxes, and a mountain of regulation. Where does that money actually go? Too often it funds the big projects we’ve already discussed — the ones riddled with layers of subcontractors, consultants, and grey suits — only for large portions to vanish through shell companies into offshore pipelines and Dubai towers.

We don’t need to stay locked into this London-centric model. Ulster has its own identity, its own potential. If we kept more of our money circulating locally, invested in our own people, and expanded internationally with Ulster representatives building genuine trade links, we could capture bigger markets and stand independently. The old centralised system is dying — it belonged to the Age of Pisces. We’re moving into the Age of Aquarius, and we already have the tools.

We can build new energy-efficient systems rooted in what the land naturally provides: seaweed, elephant grass, ethanol, hemp, and other sustainable sources. Pyrolysis machines can turn biomass into electricity while producing biochar that enriches the soil as fertiliser. These decentralised, regenerative approaches reduce dependence on the failing extractive model.

The new era brings two powerful gifts. First, instant access to information — we no longer have to accept one-sided narratives when the facts are available to everyone. Second, genuine decentralisation: real choice, real local decision-making. Wisdom should rise to the top — people who have gone out into the world, gained real expertise in engineering, teaching, medicine, business, or trades, and who actually bring something valuable to the table. As my great friend Kurt Savage would ask: “What are you bringing to the table?”

Local communities could then decide priorities together — a new road here, regeneration there — through direct voting. But this must rest on sovereignty. Those rooted in the land, with deep ties to it, hold the primary stake in sovereign decisions. This isn’t about exclusion for its own sake, but about ensuring stewardship by those who inherit and maintain the place.

The system we have now is not serving Ulster, Britain, or ordinary people. It extracts, centralises, and exports wealth. The alternative is already visible: transparency, restitution, local control, and regenerative innovation.

A Better Way: Truth and Reconciliation, With Teeth

We don’t need endless inquisitions or political show trials. We need something pragmatic, decisive, and restorative — modelled on what Saudi Arabia did during its anti-corruption drive.

The choice should be clear:

Come clean. Declare your full financial position connected to these structures. Pay a significant but survivable penalty back to the British nation — say 30% of the identified extracted or evaded value. Keep the rest. Your name is cleared. You move on without ruin.

Or fight it. Face full investigation through the courts. If corruption, large-scale tax evasion, or money laundering is proven, face the full consequences: assets seized, potential imprisonment.

This isn’t punishment for its own sake. It’s restitution. The money clawed back could fund infrastructure renewal, debt reduction, public services, or even a national regeneration fund. It would send the clearest possible signal: the era of unaccountable extraction is ending.

Why Now? The Dying System and the Age of Aquarius

We stand at a civilizational inflection point. The old systems of control, opacity, and elite arbitrage are cracking under their own weight. Technology, greater public awareness, and shifting global power dynamics are making the old games harder to play.

This is our opportunity to close the loop. Trace the chains from Dubai’s gleaming towers back through the offshore web to their UK origins. Offer the structured repentance route. Rebuild with what is returned.

Not out of vengeance, but out of necessity — so Britain (and Ulster) can step forward into a new chapter. One defined by transparency, fairness, real value creation, and local sovereignty rather than financial sleight of hand.

The Age of Aquarius isn’t some vague spiritual fantasy. It represents a higher collective consciousness: accountability, innovation, shared prosperity, and decentralised wisdom.

This isn’t about populism or conspiracy. It’s about following the money with clarity and acting like a serious nation — and serious regions — that refuse to be looted.

Independent observer of the money map

For years — more than 14 now — I worked in real estate and international commodities dealings across Dubai, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. This involved everything from property portfolios to deals in JP54, gold, bauxite, copper, and large-scale infrastructure projects. I spent time seeking funding for different countries, speaking with ex-bankers, lawyers, and solicitors, and bringing companies into new markets to develop projects on the ground.

I watched enormous sums of money move around the world through structures that most ordinary people never see: offshore companies, holding companies, trusts, and layer upon layer of ownership spread across multiple jurisdictions.

At the highest levels of business in Dubai and the Middle East, as well as in financial centres like London, Hong Kong, New York, and Singapore, the system operates through SWIFT messaging, intricate contracts for infrastructure, commodities, and construction projects. Bank guarantees (BGs), standby letters of credit (SBLCs), and letters of credit are commonplace. With the right relationships and banking officers, significant leverage is possible — for instance, a relatively modest cash deposit can sometimes support a far larger bank guarantee to initiate major projects abroad, where the bank then extends funding. These instruments can later be monetised in secondary arrangements, converting paper commitments into liquidity.

Some of it was perfectly legitimate and helped fund real development.

Some of it raised serious questions about how value can be created and moved on what often feels like thin air — and how easily such systems can be manipulated on the back end.

Yet what struck me most was the contrast. While billions flowed through these global financial networks, many towns across Britain and Ireland seemed to be moving in the opposite direction. High streets were losing businesses. Young people were leaving in search of opportunity. Farmers faced growing pressure. Home ownership moved further out of reach for many families.

The experience left me with a simple question:

What happens when wealth leaves communities faster than it returns?

And what would happen if some of that wealth could be brought home?

The Problem

Every modern economy experiences a degree of financial leakage. Capital moves internationally. Investments cross borders. Companies expand globally. That is not inherently a problem. In fact, global investment has lifted millions out of poverty and helped build industries worldwide.

The issue arises when financial systems become so opaque that productive investment becomes hard to distinguish from extraction. Tools like SWIFT — the backbone of international payments — can facilitate legitimate trade but have also been wielded as powerful geopolitical instruments, capable of pressuring currencies and economies when nations fail to "toe the line." Meanwhile, instruments such as bank guarantees and SBLCs enable massive projects, yet their monetisation and leverage can sometimes allow value to be extracted with minimal real collateral behind them.

Recent analysis suggests that at least £325 billion in illicit financial flows — linked to corruption, fraud, money laundering, illegal trade, and unlawful tax evasion — moves through the UK each year, equivalent to more than 10% of GDP. Including Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories, the figure rises above £788 billion.

We have seen clear public examples during the COVID period, where large contracts for safety equipment and protective gear were awarded under emergency conditions. Many of these deals appeared in newspapers — yet questions remain about inflated pricing, undelivered goods, and guarantees that never materialised. Much of that money could still be recuperated.

When money generated through breaking the rules disappears into hidden structures, the consequences are real. Communities lose investment. Public services come under pressure. Infrastructure deteriorates. Trust erodes.

The result is a growing sense among ordinary people that two economies operate in parallel: one governed by rules and obligations for everyday citizens, and another governed by access, influence, and complexity.

The Principle

This is not an argument against success. Success should be rewarded. Entrepreneurship encouraged. Investment welcomed. Innovation celebrated.

Nor is it an argument against international business. Global trade and capital have delivered enormous benefits.

The principle is simpler: Those who create genuine value should prosper. Those who acquire wealth through breaking the rules should not. A healthy economy requires both opportunity and accountability. Without opportunity, prosperity dies. Without accountability, trust dies.

A National Asset Recovery Programme

What if there were a different approach?

A National Asset Recovery Programme for Britain could investigate offshore shell companies, beneficial owners, unexplained wealth, inflated public contracts, and property laundering routes through places such as Dubai and Caribbean secrecy jurisdictions.

Those found to have extracted public wealth unlawfully would be offered a clear civil settlement route: declare assets, return 70% to the nation, keep 30%, and avoid public disgrace where cooperation is full. This mirrors elements of Saudi Arabia’s 2017 anti-corruption campaign, which demonstrated the potential scale of such efforts, claiming to recover over $100 billion.

If they refuse, the case would go to court. If corruption, fraud, tax evasion, or laundering is proven, assets could be seized and criminal penalties would apply. Britain would need a cleaner model: fully independent courts, transparent evidence standards, no political targeting, and strict adherence to fair process.

The programme would operate under judicial oversight and full public transparency. Its purpose would not be to target legitimate wealth, lawful offshore structures, successful businesses, or honest international investors. Its focus would remain narrow and specific: corruption, fraud, money laundering, abuse of public office, and proven unlawful tax evasion.

The objective would not be punishment for its own sake. It would be restoration. Every recovered pound would be publicly accounted for, with regular audits and safeguards against political interference.

The Great Recirculation

Imagine recovered wealth placed into a ring-fenced public trust dedicated to long-term national renewal — with a citizen oversight board and transparent dashboard tracking every allocation.

This could fund:

Affordable housing

Modern infrastructure and water security

Skills, apprenticeships, and education tied to real jobs

Local manufacturing and regenerative agriculture

Energy resilience and community-owned enterprises

Some speak of the coming Age of Aquarius in spiritual terms. A more practical interpretation might be this shift toward greater transparency, participation, and reciprocity — moving away from secrecy and extraction toward systems that serve the people who sustain them.

The deeper question is this: Can we build an economy that rewards genuine contribution more than clever manipulation? Can prosperity flow in both directions?

- Test them rigorously and publish the results transparently (mineral content, purity, vitality markers).

- Safeguard these springs as national treasures, not commodities.

- Make high-quality, minimally processed mineral water available — especially to schools, hospitals, elderly care facilities, and families with young children.

- Encourage refill stations using glass or stainless steel systems in public buildings and communities.

This isn’t about rejecting modern plumbing. It’s about adding a parallel system dedicated to inward nourishment.
